Tutorial on Rooting Samsung Galaxy Y..

Hi guys, this is tutorial on rooting Samsung Galaxy Y..

Rooting is quite easy if u follow the steps

Remember it will void your warranty....its up to you to root or not

I have rooted and unrooted many times ....in my case there 

is no problem 

1. you need to download update.zip from  

http://uploading.com/files/f3m77aba/update.zip/ 



2. Move update.zip in sdcard and switch off the phone

3. Then boot the system in recovery mode by pressing

Volume up + Home button + Lock key

4.Scroll using Volume up/down keys...Select install update

from sdcard..then select update.zip

5.It will show Installation Complete

6. Now select Reboot System Now

Thats it you have rooted your Android device...

UNROOTING

2.3.5 or 2.3.6 android

unRooting is quite easy if u follow the steps correctly


I have rooted and unrooted many times ....in my case there

1. you need to download update.zip from 









2. Move update-unroot.zip in sdcard and switch off the phone

3. Then boot the system in recovery mode by pressing Volume up + Home button + Lock key

4.Scroll using Volume up/down keys...Select install update from sdcard..then select update-unroot.zip

5.It will show Installation Complete

6. Now select Reboot System Now

  1. Going to try it now!!! What's the percentage of possibility of bricking the phone??? And shouldn't the update file for 2.3.5 & 2.3.6 be different?

  4. everything works fine for me. before rooting, make an backup of your apps and contacts. make a backup of your sd card to.

    useful apps are:
    superuser (to apply root for apps)
    busybox installer (to install root apps)
    a cpu manager (ingrease phone speed)
    for more search google

  5. MY phone is Samsung galaxy y Duos (GT-S6102). Thats why update.zip is not successfully installed and the message shown installation is aborted. please provide the right update for my model. Please Hurry
